Adding a new person to your community.

This document outlines how to add a new person to your community. There are two ways to connect a person to your community.

  1. Send them an email and have them create their own person record and login.
  2. Add them directly yourself.

Send them an email and have them create a user name.

It is far more preferable to have the person sign up via the mobile app or the desktop. Then they will be in control of their user name and password and they will be able to contribute data such as predator control, weeds and five minute bird count.

Adding the person record directly.

A person may not want to create their own user name. They may want to contribute to your conservation community but not record data. They can be still added to the database so they can for example receive newsletters and email.
